Job Description

The department Central Maintenance takes care of the execution and coordination of all activities related to the operation and maintenance of technical and aviation safety reference systems and components.

Your goal is to ensure the safety, reliability and availability of these systems beyond the lifecycle. 

You develop solutions for technical problems in complex and networked systems and optimize technical and aviation safety equipment in close consultation with the respective product management. In doing so, you bear the final responsibility for results and always work independently.

Your tasks:

• With your extensive expertise you operate reference systems and components from navigation and air traffic management systems including maintenance, testing and maintenance.
• Repair work down to component level on components of the (air traffic control) technical systems beyond the system lifecycle, we know in good hands with you.
• You can also handle tasks related to the operation, control and monitoring of complex networked systems.
• You independently develop test and test equipment that is required for the repair.
• In addition, you develop recommendations and solutions and represent these requirements from your field of work to complex topics in interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Successful study of communications engineering or communication technology
• Experience in dealing with standard measuring equipment for error analysis and search down to the component level (chip level)
• Ideally well-founded expertise in the operation and maintenance of technical equipment as well as in RF technology and computer technology
• Know-how in the graphical programming system LabVIEW, SAP as well as in the Linux operating system and its derivatives is an advantage.
